A Note From Sarah
I am so excited about what the Lord is doing and will do with Global Journey! God has put a calling on my heart to start a mission organization that will take the Hope of Christ around the world, while making a life changing impact in those who journey with us.
The Lord has graciously given me the opportunity to travel around the world 3 times to over 20 countries. These experiences included 11 months with The World Race in 2006, 80 Days Around the World with the Global Challenge, and a pioneer trip for Global Jouney the Summer of 2008. On these trips the Lord has forever changed me and put a passion on my heart for giving others a similar opportunity.
As I prayed about how the Lord wanted me to do this, He put in my path Hope for Life Ministry. I couldn't have asked for a better partnership. Participants who travel with us will have the wisdom and counseling experience of Christian Counselor Steve Leavitt for training and debriefing. In my previous experiences, one of the hardest parts of a trip like this was coming home and back into American culture. Steve will be an awesome resource to help participants process all they have experienced and apply what the Lord has done to their lives at home.
My prayer for this ministry is that many people will discover a passion for missions through this experience. Whether participants are called back to a country we visit, made aware of their calling in life, or just more conscious of the needs of the world. I hope Global Journey will be an adventure that the Lord will use to impact people for lifetimes!
